Hello UsamaKhan, this laptop is based on Pentium technology and this technology is not compatible with I7 processor.

I would recommend you to contact Toshiba for further assistance since this is an OEM system and we do not know if this kind of modification are supported or not.

According to a Toshiba webpage, the newest processor that comes on this laptop is the i3-3217U. http://www.toshiba.co.uk/laptops/satellite/c50-b/http:// http://www.toshiba.co.uk/laptops/satellite/c50-b/http://

This processor is a FCBGA. FCBGA is not a processor socket; those are soldered-on chips. The "bga" stands for Ball Grid Array, which is used for soldering on chips. http://ark.intel.com/products/65697/Intel-Core-i3-3217U-Processor-3M-Cache-1_80-GHz?q=3217# @specifications http://ark.intel.com/products/65697/Intel-Core-i3-3217U-Processor-3M-Cache-1_80-GHz?q=3217# @specifications

I would recommend you checking with Toshiba if your current processor can be removed from the laptop. If not, it won't be possible to change it, or at least we do not recommend it.
