Hello Narol,

There are three ways to delete the RAID array:

1) Removing the structure from the Option ROM or CTRL-I, or via RST.

2) Running a secure erase/low level format on the drives.

Since you're already considering a clean installation of the OS, the best thing would be to try our second option.

For instructions on how to low level format, refer to any of the following articles:

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/solid-state-drives/ssd-software/000022179.html X

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/solid-state-drives/000006011.html X

Best regards,

Carlos A.

the os on ssd

the rest of hhd space is hidden cant see it anywhere except RST in disk manager its only 2 drive ssd 118 gb and another 119 unallocated volume i dont know where the rest of 1 tb gone

so the only way to format i

- open cmd during windows setup

-when iam on installing window i hit shift+f10 make full formate using

List disk

Sel disk (select disk):

Clean all

after that start win install as usual

Hello Narol,

Keep in mind that you will need to secure erase both drives.

An alternate way to do this would be by using one of the third party tools suggested here: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/software/000006198.html x.

Note: The drives themselves are not aware they're on a RAID. If you connect your 1 TB HDD into another computer, specially after it's been low-level formatted, and continue to only see 119 GB, it could mean that the HDD is failing.

Once both drives are completely clean, and all traces of your RAID 0 are gone, you can proceed with your clean installation of Windows*. For Windows® 10, you can follow the steps provided in this post: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki/windows_10-windows_install/clean-install-windows-10/1c426bdf-79b1-4d42-be93-17378d93e587 x.

Best regards,

Carlos A.

Hello Narol,

The RAID configuration metadata is stored in the first and last 1MB of the drives. If this metadata is corrupted or lost, the logical RAID 0 disk will be lost, and the controller will treat the physical drives as individual. Which is why we suggest the low-level format, as this is our end goal here.

If the command prompt in your Windows* installer does not properly accomplish this (even though it should), we can recommend downloading and booting into one of the third party tools we mentioned previously (http://www.killdisk.com/ Killdisk*, http://www.dban.org/ Dban*, etc)

Once you've done this, let us know if it resolved your issue. If not, let us know if your BIOS detects the drives as their original size or not.

Kind regards,

Carlos A.
