Request: SMTP Username & Password in Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management

I'm so surprised I haven't seen this request yet. I'd love to set up e-mail alerting on my RAID controller, but there's no username & password field for it.

Unless you have a completely open SMTP relay, there's no way to send alerts!

This may make since if you have an internal SMTP server, where you can whitelist your computer's private IP, but since most people and organizations use cloud-based e-mail, or have a cloud server, whitelisting your public IP is a security risk.

I'd like to see this added to the program:

Username
Password
SSL/TLS

It seems like nearly every program has these options, so I'm surprised Intel hasn't included these features in its software.

Other suggestions for the forum itself, which I could not locate a category for general:

Keep users logged in when leaving the forum
Ability to search the category listing
Automatically subscribe when posting

I'm surprised these feature aren't available either??

Can you tell me what the notifications are for ?

Because, even if I remove one of the two RAID disks, I do not receive a notification. The only notification I receive is when I run a check myself. So, not useful at all...

I have been asking for this for more than a decade. Same reply back then...

I used a smtp server relay app that relays unauthenticated emails.
