One possibility to investigate is whether the original (system) drive has left the necessary space at the end of the drive for the storage of the RST data.

Hello Scott,

I tryed following:

I update the bios oft he Dell G15 5530. The latest version 30th Dec 2024

I installed the 2 Crucial PCIe Gen4 NVMe 2230 M.2 2TB SSD in my Alienware 17r3 laptop.

One oft them had a working Win11 installation. Running on the Dell G15 5530.

Boot with the 3rd SSD oft he AW17R3 and start the RST software.

I configure a raid 0 array. The software ask me to hold the data of disk1.

I say yes and RST create a new volume 0000 with the Win11 installation on it.

I installed the 2 SSD in the Dell G15 5530 but the bios don´t found the raid 0 volume..

I boot with an AOMEI boot stick. AOMEI also don´t found the volume. The same with Acronis.

Have you any idea what I can try next.

Sorry, I don't have such a configuration to capture its state. Just make sure you have a couple of megabytes at the end of the drive free. Typically, the recovery partition is the last partition; just make it a little bit smaller.

Do you have VMD (RAID) support enabled in the BIOS?

Do you have the drives located in the same M.2 slots used to create it? In most configurations, the second and third M.2 slots are connected to PCIe lanes generated by the PCH (not the CPU).

Note to the wise: Don't ever trust content to survive creation of RAID arrays; have a backup.

Hhmmm, not sure what to suggest. If you put the drives back in the Lenovo machine, does everything appear as it should? If it does, what happens if you swap the connectors that the drives are plugged into?

I have no Lenovo. The problem is with my Dell G15 5530. I have another laptop Alienware 17R3. If install the two ssds in the AW17r3 I be able to create a raid 0 volume. After I go back to the G15 5530 and install the 2 ssds with the raid 0 volume createt before in the aw17r3. The G15 5530 didn´t found the volume and didn´t found the 2 ssds with raid 0 volume. If I put back the 2 ssds in the AW17r3 the raid 0 volume is present.

I think it is a problem of the Dell Bios. The G15 5530 Laptop cannot manage raid volumes.

How Do I Create a RAID 0 Volume?

That's exactly my problem. I have only 2 sockets for 2 ssd on the motherboard.

If I clone the boot drive with Aomei backupper on a 3rd drive connected over USB, I cannot boot with it. Windows message is no boot drive detected.

If I choose G15 5530 with change product igot the message: This article does not apply to Dell G15 5530

Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) Release with Intel® Optane™ Memory Installation and User Guide (Refer to page 18)

Manage: detect 2 ssd. One with system message.

Create: I cannot select anything the next button is grey.

Intel Optane memory: There are no valid disk pairs in your system

I installed the driver but the problem is still present.

I translated the screenshot you provided, and the error message indicates:

"Your system is not ready for Intel Optane memory. The following requirements were not met: There are no valid disk pairs in your system."

Open Disk Management by pressing the Windows* key + x.

Right-click the partition at the end of the disk to be modified.
Select Shrink Volume.
Enter 5 MB in the Enter the Amount of space to shrink in MB field.
Press Shrink.

Attempt to enable acceleration.

Hi Alienrage,

I noticed that one of the Crucial drives has the OS installed on it, as shown in the screenshot ("PCIe SSD (1863 GB)(System)"). Could you please let us know if you plan to install Windows on the Intel RST RAID 0 array that you'll create, or if you prefer to install Windows on a separate drive and use the RAID 0 (with the 2 Crucial NVMe drives) just for data (non-OS)?
