    <description>&lt;P&gt;You could uninstall Intel® Rapid Storage since Windows will keep one file called iastor.sys and this will control AHCI or RAID modes on your system. If you remove the software, that should be fine. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;Allan.</description>

      <title>Do I really need to have the RST software running to take advantage of it?</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I was thinking of disabling the software using AVG's tuneup tool since it (says) it causes a high load on the system but I fear I might loose RST's benefits. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Do I really need to have it running or is simply the fact that it's installed enough to somewhat help speed up my PC? I don't see anything in it except just giving info and enabling/disabling Link Power management. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm using a Samsung EVO 850 250GB SSD as a boot drive and a WD Blue 1TB 2.5" drive as a secondary. Yeah, it's a laptop &lt;/P&gt;</description>
