Hello Natan555,

Thank you for joining the Rapid Storage Technology Community. I am sorry to hear that one of your disks broke.

I would like to let you know that the RAID volume cannot be reduced to 3 drives; however, I have two suggestions that could help in this scenario. The first one is to change the broken drive and rebuild the volume, and the second option is to back up the information and create the RAID 5 with the 3 remaining drives from scratch.

Hope this information helps.

Regards,

Amy C.

I have RAID5 - 4*3Tb (occupied by my data about 4 Tb). One disc is broken. Is it possible to reduce the number of disks to 3 * 3TB. Thanks

Thanks, I was just trying to find the third way. And I hoped for a miracle, assuming that there is one more option

/thread/119402 Natan555, I sure understand that. As a final option you could try a third-party RAID site, maybe you can find more information there.

Regards,

Amy C.
