Hello csm10495,

Thank you for joining this Intel Community.

In order to move a RAID 1 volume to a different System, the new system must support the following:

Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (RAID driver)

The same type of RAID volume

In other words, hardware and software must support RAID 1. Once you move the RAID volume to the other system, you will be able to access it from UBUNTU 18.04. In this case, make sure you do not boot into Windows* after you move the RAID volume.

Wanner G.

Hi,

I have a current volume on Windows, though I'm looking to move it to an Ubuntu 18.04 build. Both motherboards support SATA RAID and RST. Can I move my RAID made in the Windows RST GUI to Ubuntu/Linux on a different system without losing data?

Thanks!
