S2600WF PCIe Fatal error

Hi,

Can't install OS from ISO - the server constantly reloads itself during installation.

In the event log:

17	Mon May 16 17:43:49 2022	PCIe Fatal Error	SMI Handler	Critical	Critical Interrupt	Surprise Link Down Error Bus: 174 Device: 0 Function: 0 - OEM - Asserted

Checked the RAM by the memtest and it's OK.

How to define the cause?

Does the system reboots when on BIOS or in UEFI shell? Could you try to update the BIOS firmware to the latest: Intel® Server Board S2600WF Family BIOS and Firmware Update Package for UEFI

If not working you can attempt the BIOS recovery procedure detailed here BIOS Recovery Procedure for Current Intel® Server Boards

Device (BMC) Available :	Yes

System reboots when I install OS from ISO in legacy boot. ( that's the custom image and I don't see it in UEFI mode )

Could you tell the OS you are attempting to install? Is it possible to try the OS installation in UEFI mode?

Also could you share the memory DIMMs brand and model so we can confirm if validated?
