I know the Intel® Server Board S2400SC is a discontinued product with no longer available technical support, but my motherboard is still in use and requires a firmware update to continue functioning optimally. Therefore, I urgently need the corresponding firmware update. I've spent a considerable amount of time searching online but couldn't find the relevant firmware, so I'm reaching out here for assistance. Could you please provide the firmware? Thank you!

I have this motherboard ... an I still can get the old/latest BIOS at MSI ... here @intel nothing ... the links are gone ... <LI-EMOJI id="lia_disappointed-face" title=""></LI-EMOJI>

https://www.thomas-krenn.com/en/download?manufacturer=6&category=82&product=10908

This BIOS is for S1600JP too, but older ...

I know that heses sites cannot necessarily be trusted ... i use claude opus to confirm the files .. and all fine ...

and now it runs ... the CPU is happy and me too <LI-EMOJI id="lia_slightly-smiling-face" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"></LI-EMOJI>

@FrankOliverXu Yes, it is true that Intel did a huge disservice to ALL of their users and customers by deleting downloads and documentation for these products. They say it was for security reasons, but we all know that is rubbish. Intel does not want to do any support for these products. It is not enough for them to ignore posts on the forum; they go so far as to force user to use third party sites. Now, that invites more security concerns. The way Intel treats its users is awful. When they no longer want to support a product, they just discontinue it and delete all documentation.

Now, that said, I also believe that users should get these updates while their product is supported. If it was not important enough for the user to update when supported, why go back and complain when it is not supported? My rule is that whenever a download is available from intel, grab it. It probably will not be there tomorrow.

Doc (not an Intel employee or contractor)
[CoPilot is a virus, W11 is a keystroke logger, all from MicroSlop]

Correct it:

I downloaded three upgrade package files:
S2400SC_EFI_BIOS01080003_BMC01170r4151_FRUSDR109_ME020107112.zip
S2400SC_EFI_BIOS02060006_ME020107328_BMC0128r10603_FRUSDR113.zip
bios_r02.06.0007_package_romley_platforms.zip

According to the instructions in the document, the upgrade sequence is as follows:
SE5C600.86B.01.03.0002 (current version) → R01.08.0003 (mandatory transition version)
R01.08.0003 → R02.06.0006
R02.06.0006 → R02.06.0007
A few days ago, I successfully upgraded to S2400SC and started using the Intel E5-2450 V2 CPU
