I'd like to know whether Platforms with Xeon 6 (both E-cores and P-cores) - Granite Rapids and Sierra Forest would work without issues with DIMMS DDR5 5600 MT or DDR5 4800 MT?

Hi Adithya,

What about 6500/6700 series? I know that 6300 series supports other DIMM 4800 MT. But what about higher performence? Could you please cofirme that 6500/6700/6900 series supports DIMM with 5600 MT or 4800 MT speed?

You've shared with me supported memory speed, meaning the speed which will CPU "cut-down" or maintain.

Let me reiterate my quesion.

I would like to verify the memory compatibility for the Intel Xeon 6 series (6500/6700/6900). Is it mandatory to use DDR5 6400 MT/s modules, or does the platform support down-clocking? Specifically, can I configure a Xeon 6700-based server with DDR5 5600 MT/s RAM? Will the system recognize the modules and operate stably at the lower frequency, similar to how it worked with 4th and 5th Gen Scalable processors?
