      <description>&lt;P&gt;The BMC LAN channel 1 and OS NIC1 have different MAC addresses, although they share the same physical connector. So what you need to do is assign a different IP address for the NIC in the OS. &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Go into BIOS set up (F2 during POST)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Select Server Management - BMC Lan Configuration&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Fill in the IP infor in the section labeled Baseboard LAN configuration.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;On the bottom of the same page, make sure you have configured a User Accout.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I usually select&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;User ID   User 3&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Privilage  Administrator&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;User Status   Enabled&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;User Name    Doc_SilverCreek&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;User Password  ***********&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Then press F10 and save.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You should now be able to open a web browser from any system on the same network to htt&lt;A&gt;p:\\78.24.218.163&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
