Hello,

Is it possible to use an RMSCB040 RAID6 module in conjunction with a SAS expander (either RES2CV240 or RES2SV240) to run up to 12 drives in a R2312GL4GS server system.

Will a RES2CV240 physically fit in a R2312GL4GS, is there a molex connector to power it and crucially is it a supported configuration.

I know a RS2WG160 controller will work but I'm looking for a less expensive solution.

Regards,

GT

Yes it will work. The expander card will be installed in one of the PCIe risers, and power is supplied through the PCIe connector.
