I Have a HP DC7600 pc running an integrated 945G chipset. I am connectingit to a samsung 32" LCDTV vis the TV's VGA in.

Most of the time when i connect the PC and switch the TV into PC mode the TV goes into standby after 3 seconds or so of being connected. I have had the odd ocassion where the TV has picked up the signal and switched to 1366x768 for as long as the pc is running. But once the pc is switched off i cannot get it back again. Sometimes i switch to PC mode and the PC screen flashes on screen for a split second and then goes into standby.

Connectingmy laptop with a mobile 945GM to the TV works fine and switches to 1366x768 every time. This is using the same cable so rules out a cable issue.

Connecting the pc to a 19" LCD monitor is fine.

My PC is running the latest integrated drivers 15.8.2 (7.14.10.1461) and is configured to run at 60Hz in the intel graphics properties.

Can anyone offer any advice as to anything i can try?

Some users have found that disabling Persistence fixes problems of this sort, but it's not a silver bullet.
