&lt;BR /&gt;Ubuntu 8.04 x86_64 running directly on the hardware.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I found the issue after installing VMware server (1.0.9) and it reported that it could not virtualize 64bit guests because there was no virtualization support in the CPU.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
