Hi. Sorry to bother you guys.

After installing Parallel Studio at a custom location as non-root, I removed everything in the directory, and everything in the /tmp folder

When I try to reinstall as non-root again, it shows:

If you want to reinstall the Intel(R) Parallel Studio XE 2013 Update 3 for Linux*
please uninstall current version and run install script again.

How to fix this?

Thank you for your help.

@ Sergey Kostrov

Thank you very much for the reply.

I saw that post before too. However, when I went to /opt/, I saw nothing there with "ls -a".

"rpm -qa | grep intel" and "rpm -qa | grep Intel" similarly give nothing.

"locate intel" gives nothing in the custom location that I installed the parallel studio.

Also deleted everything in "/tmp" and used "ls -a" to check for hidden file/folders.

Deleted everything (python 2.7.5 etc...) in my custom location, and the custom location folder on the raid 3 hard disk.

I am not sure about my home folder. I saw something like a log file there, and deleted it as well.

tried to "locate .rpmdb", but didn't find the file.

I am at lost on what can be the next thing to delete (what else?) ... would getting a copy of the uninstall.sh help?

Oh, I don't have the uninstall.sh

When I did "rm -rf *" that probably delete the uninstall.sh as well, if there was one.

I was thinking if i can get an uninstall script from someone else.

Does it mean that you've finally installed ( 2nd attempt, or reinstall ) Intel(R) Parallel Studio XE 2013 Update 3 for Linux?

Please clarify. Thanks.

Intel XE 2013 does not have an uninstall script (install-dir/bin/uninstall.sh) like previous version

My question is: Are there any recommendations in Release Notes on how to uninstall the compiler on a Linux system?
