I wonder if you can set a language other than English to send the application to the store windows.

I had the same problem. I just copied my html files, then created metro app in visual studio. Then you can add the control "webview" and import the html 5 files to the project.wth this option you can configure all options such as tiles,(in all sizes) ,splash screens etc.
