Hi, Jim..

We'd appreciate it if you'd use vf-support@compaq.com for questions like this, especially as we've been working with you on the Education Donation program.

Did you install Visual Fortran on the student PCs? This is required.

Steve

We are running Compaq Fortran 6.5 in our NT computer labs. When the students try to
use it many receive an error about being unable to run df.exe. I looked this up on the
compaq site and it tells me I need to download a utility called DVF-X86-REGUSER.exe
and have each student run it before running the Fortran compiler. Needless to say I
tried this and it doesn't work. It gives the error:
Could not find/modify the Visual Fortran registry keys.
The keys may not be present or could not be accessed because of security attributes.

Is there a fix for this fix?

Alternately, what are the keys it is changing and to what values?

Jim Smith
Engineering Faculty CSO
University of Newcastle
Australia
