      <title>FDC question</title>
      <link>https://community.intel.com/t5/Software-Archive/FDC-question/m-p/967613#M23257</link>
<description>Hi all, i'm a new user here. I have a question related to programming the FDC using ports. I would like to know the exact steps to read and write data from a floppy drive. I have read the intel documentation for the 82077AA and find it quite good. however i could not understan if the initialization routine must be done before every command to the FDC or only once duing system startup? what else should i do each time i want to read a sector from the floppy.&lt;BR /&gt;Your help will be greatly appreciated.</description>
