Is it possible to invoque the Windows sounds (e.g., Asterisk, Critical Stop, Exclamation, as defined in the Control Panel) using CVF? I can use SOUNDQQ but the results are not very pleasant to the ear.

use winmm
istat = PlaySound ("SystemAsterisk"C,NULL,SND_ALIAS)
end

For alias names, see the registry key tree HKEY_CURRENT_USERAppEvents
