micflash -getversion

Hi all,

I am a newbie intel Xeon Phi user. I am responsable of install and configure the coprocessor in my corporation. I have installed correctly the MPSS and configured correctly the coprocessor, but I have a little problem with "micflash -getversion" command. When I execute it to check my flash version, I obtain the next error message:

micflash: mic0: Failed to switch to maintenance mode: write: /sys/class/mic/mic0/state: Input/output error

What can I do? The rest of admin tools like micinfo, miccheck etc works well.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards.

Hi Javier,

You need to stop the MPSS before issuing micflash. For example:

% service mpss stop
% micflash -getversion -device 0
mic0: Flash read started
mic0: Read done
mic0: Version 2.1.03.0386
mic0: Transitioning to ready state
