Problem in Licensing Parallel Studio XE 2015 update 3

Hello

I recently registered at Intel and got the academic license for Parallel Studio XE 2015 and i downloaded update 3 from the website. I am unable to cross the licensing step.

I have tried the use serial number to activate and install product option but it says that i am not connected to internet although internet is working find with commands like apt-get update etc.

then i tried choose alternate activation and tried the offline activation. I provided the path /opt/intel/licenses/*********.lic to installer and got the reply that "the license file you provided is not valid for this product".

can anyone please help me with this. thanks in advance

Hi Khurrum,

I see an evaluation license only that you recently registered, not an academic license. I've sent you the license file to your email address which you can alternatively use to activate the product ("Alternative activation ... Use license file").

I received this email from Intel as i applied for Academic Community Program. They sent me a 25 seat floating license (serial number). Later on when i registered the product i.e. Intel Parallel Studio XE 2015 they sent me license file. I was taking about that license file which is not working. that license is valid up to july 2016 while the file you sent me is an evaluation license valid only for 30 days!!!!!

I also tried with the Evaluation license file you sent me and still getting the same error i.e. the license file you provided is not valid for this product. :-(

I think the confusion is due to the fact that at two different times (closely separated) i applied for two different license of two different product. the evaulation license as you sent was for Intel® Parallel Studio XE Professional Edition for Fortran and C++ Linux* while the academic license which was sent to me is for Intel® Parallel Studio XE Cluster edition.

The problem i am facing is in the installation of academic license. Can you please look into the matter. Thank you very much for your help.
