Animated Splash Screen

Hi,

I was wondering if there was a way to make an animated splash screen, perhaps with a css-animation, or with a .gif image.

The Intel XDK software has no option of uploading a .gif file as of now, so I'm wondering if there is any alternative.

If there is none, this may be a good feature to add to the next version of XDK.

Animated splash screens are not supported by cordova.

The Cordova splashscreen only appears for couple seconds, you might want to add the animated splashscreen as part of your app, so the first thing your app does is show an animated splash screen for few seconds and then continue with the app.
