AR Computer Project

Hello everyone,

I would like to start a new exciting chapter in the development of next gen mobile platform. First of all, thanks to you for all the support of my work. Since 2006 when I posted the message about my project of a cell computer we have a whole era of changes in computer software industry. I would define it - now, I'm proudly saying about that, along with the leader of the industry - Microsoft - as Universal Apps Platform. Moreover, this platform is going to be open-sourced according to Mark Russinovich, Technical Fellow of Microsoft (link - Wired Magazine).

And, in the beginning of this year, the most important event in the field of innovations has happened - the announcement of the first holographic computer - HoloLens - (link - MSDN Channel 9). I have published a post about it on my Linkedin profile which allowed to form a group of specialists required to create a new project for developing this idea to the next level - AR computer. I'm looking forward to work together on this project in the future.

Here the link to this post - Transparent Displays - Linkedin profile

With kind regards,

Michael Molin

Amazing. I found a prototype of an AR computer.

Sony Clie TG50 (2003)

http://www.mobiletechreview.com/feature/sony_TG50.htm

Also, take a look at NX70V and NX80V -

http://www.mobiletechreview.com/feature/sony_NX70V.htm

It's a time machine - I wrote about it in 2008 - Cell Computer Project.

In addition, for a complete picture - a famous Corning's video - A Day Made of Glass (2011).

Hello everyone,

This is a description of the project. It's a mission statement.

AR Computer Project

The strategy of development for AR Computer Project is based on two main technologies: an active sensor resembling a LiDAR array for 3D scanning and transparent OLED displays for data visualization. This project is a continuation of Cell Computer Project for creating a new mobile platform - https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/topic/306278 - the concept of the project is based on a dual-display configuration that combines two interfaces - desktop with cursor control for upper main screen and touchscreen UI for the second screen. For more information, see the blog of AR Computer project on Intel Developer Zone forum - https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/topic/549027 and posts on my LinkedIn profile.
