topic Troubleshooting RealSense Camera in Software Archive

Hi,

I have used the camera for one day, exploring the samples available in the SDK. Today however, one of the samples froze during execution. None of the applications accessing the camera except emotion detection app are opening anymore. The green light on the camera also doesnt glow anymore. Probably, the depth detection modules have become inaccessible to the applications. How may I troubleshoot these problems? Kindly help me in this regard.

Check what cameras you show

Check what cameras you show under Device Manager. Clarify what samples you are trying and what you mean when you say they aren't opening anymore. Separate what's happening in software from what's happening with the camera as much as you can in your writeup please.
Try unpluggin and replugging the camera. Try stopping and restarting the Intel RealSense DCOM service under local services.

Hi Colleen,

Hi Colleen,

Thanks for the response! I figured the solution. All it took was uninstalling and reinstalling the SDK. Funny things do happen with the camera from time to time and at many times the sdk seems to be the cause.

Thanks again!
