I just found that the download link on the german page (https://software.intel.com/de-de/realsense/intel-realsense-sdk-for-windows) is a wrong one. The automatic redirections at the Intel page always bring me to there, only by manually adjusting the URL I was able to get to (https://software.intel.com/en-us/intel-realsense-sdk/download), where the newest SDK is available.

I have to say that the management on your side isn't any better than with last year's PCSDK, which was a mess both from update policy and information policy...

RealSenseDCM always stopping

I'm trying to get the camera working for a few days now (just got it Thursday). After installing a completely fresh Windows 8.1 Pro installation, all updates and everything, the camera was finally working yesterday. However, as of today, it doesn't work anymore (no changes on the system).

The camera is detected in Device Manager (all three Imaging Devices + Audio), but the RealSenseDCM service stops immediately after starting it. Windows eventvwr shows (sorry, german only):

and immediately after that

Dienst "Intel(R) RealSense(TM) Depth Camera Manager Service" wurde unerwartet beendet.

Starting the service in Services tab does not work either, it immediately quits again. I tried reinstalling the RealSense SDK, but nothing seems to help at all.

This means I had exactly one day of development time and am stuck again. Any ideas?

You seem to have the beta version of the DCM. You need to load the DCM 1.2.x that comes with the Gold SDK.

I installed the intel_rs_sdk

I installed the intel_rs_sdk_offline_package_r_2.0.30.73832.exe. That's the RealSenseDCM version included there, and it seems the newest download available. What do you mean?
