Thanks, Hubert.

I uninstalled the partial installation done earlier, but now when I try to reinstall (with -tmp-dir option set), the installation does not recognize the previous product serial number that I rcvd.

Is there any way to reset, or get another valid key?

Thanks,

installation problem on Linux platform for Intel Parallel Studio XE

Hi,

Is there any issue with installing 'Intel Parallel Studio XE Composer Edition for C++ Linux' as non-root?

When I tried to run the install script, first it complained about unsupported OS version (which is SuSE gcc version 4.1.2 on my machine) for which I chose the 'ignore' option, but eventually installation failed with "no disk space" error. I have ~200 GB space on the partition where I am trying to install!

When I do retry installation, the user interface seems to be broken as it constantly takes me through repeated questions when I select "repair" option?

I have valid license file and product key. Any idea what the problem might be? Do I need to install as root - this is an EC supported machine, so to install as 'root' I will need their help. I am primarily interested in using MKL library, but it is bundled with the full Parallel Studio.

Thanks for any help/suggestion...

Roy,

"no disk space" may also refer to /tmp which is being used for extracting filesets and creating temporary files. If you cannot clear /tmp and create some free space you can specify an alternative temp dir for installation

install.sh --tmp-dir <tempdir>

I'll provide your SN which is valid and should work via a private message. If remote activation with SN doesn't work, use alternative activation and use the license file I've sent you.
