Hi,

I have the ASUS ROG GL771JW-T7081H with an integrated Intel RealSense F200 camera. After putting the device into sleep mode it fails to start the camera. The device is not even listed any more in the Windows Device Manager (both the "Intel(R) RealSense(TM) 3D Camera (Front F200) Depth" and "Intel(R) RealSense(TM) 3D Camera (Front F200) RGB" are gone).

I already installed the latest BIOS Update (BIOS 206) and the latest Intel RealSense DCM 1.4.

Running on Windows 8.1

Best,

You should not need to

You should not need to install the DCM, since your camera is integrated. DCM needs to be installed for the USB version of the camera.

Try removing the DCM, and restoring your original drivers.

I am pretty sure that also

I am pretty sure that also the built in versions of the F200 need the DCM service (which is installed with the DCM). There are two reasons for this:

1.) It is actually required by Intel to check for the DCM service running when starting an Intel RealSense app

2.) ASUS lists the DCM as the driver for the webcam on their driver download portal

try using task manager to

try using task manager to locate the service in the list of services. it should be realsensedcmf200 or something similar, i have the r200 and the service is realsensedcmr200. if the service is running stop it and then restart. if the service is stopped just start it. short term you should be able to create a desktop shortcut to restart if it happens again. hopefully asus will fix whatever the problem is long term.
