Forum Question - so many Emails

Just an Admin question - WHen I submit a post is there a way of 'subscribing' to it so I get email notifications of answers, BUT exclude notifications from other topics? I seem to get an email from every post to the forum....dozens of them at a time? Other forums seem to have this feature but I can't find it here.

When I get an email from the forum there is a link at the bottom of the message that takes me to a place where I can "manage" the emails. If you follow that link are you able to "disable" any of the emails? The language used to disable is confusing, I think it is something like "inactive" or similar.

Thanks Paul - yes this takes me to a list of my own posts to manage, regardless of which message I click the link on - BUT - I am getting emails from every other post too - dozens of messages ....is there somewhere I can switch off All notifications ? I only want to see mine.

Not sure what is causing this. Try going to your "dashboard" (pulldown next to your name in the upper right corner of this screen) and then select the "profile" tab once there. At the bottom are some "subscriptions" you can clear. If that doesn't help, let me know, I can find someone who has more knowledge about the inner workings of the forum.

Thanks Paul - I must be missing something - When I log in and select Dashboard, I don't have a Profile Option.

If I click on the Down arrow, or my name or icon all I get is a dropdown with the same 3 options;

..my mailbox if gradually groaning under the weight of all these emails.....haha - any help appreciated

Loaded on Chrome - I get a different Dashboard and Profile Tab....

Having said that - still don't see how I turn off getting Notification of EVERY comment placed?

@phil -- those "Subscriptions" check boxes are the ones I'm referring to. I don't know how they work, but those are the ones I was recommending you uncheck, specifically the last one. If that doesn't work, I'll try and get our IT department into the loop regarding this.

The forum engineer informs me that you somehow subscribed to a notification for "all content tagged with XDK" and that is the reason for all of the emails. He is going to disable that notification.

You can get to all the notifications for your account here: https://software.intel.com/en-us/user/1180712/notifications/subscription (I cannot go to that page, only you can, it's tied to your account). You should be getting a link like that at the bottom of every notification email...
