Did you reload the DCM (Intel Depth Camera Manager) when you upgraded to v4 of the SDK? Also it looks like you went directly from 2.x to 4.0 without going thru the 3.x release. Your DCM needs to be at least 1.2.xxxx and your camera firmware should be at least 2.38.5

Depth camera not working

So, I know this has been discussed on these forums a lot (I've gone through many of the posts myself) but putting it all down here in case anyone can help out.

When I downloaded the v2 of the SDK (released around Nov 2014), ALL the sample apps were working fine. However, I installed v4 (latest release), ONLY the capture viewer is working. And only the colour stream. No depth/IR.

Here are the things I tried:

- checked that the device was plugged into an actual USB 3 port

- tried both 32bit and 64 bit samples

- disabled the power setting in the Power Options

- checked that the device shows as "Connected to USB 3.0" under Settings>Change PC settings>PC and devices>Devices

- made sure I had all Windows updates

- made sure DCM and SDK were installed

- checked that device is showing up correctly under Device Manager

- made sure the device firmware was up to date

The only thing remaining is to make sure that the USB 3 port is supplying sufficient power to the device but am not sure how to do that. Any advice?

Here is my rig:

Intel motherboard DH67VR

Intel i5 2400 (2nd Gen)

AMD Radeon HD 5450 1 GB

8 GB RAM

I know I don't have the recommended 4th Gen processor but another person on this forum has managed with 2nd Gen and the earlier version of the SDK worked perfectly.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi Colleen,

I formatted the computer before installing v4 so I have everything installed from that pack (DCM, SDK). I downloaded the firmware updater from the Creative site and got the message that I had the latest version.

Could you suggest any other steps I could take?

Cheers!

Here are my latest results

Here are my latest results and observations:

- with the device plugged in, uninstalled and re-installed the DCM (latest version available 1.2...something), still no depth/IR

- I'm getting either of -202 (unplug and unavailable) or -3 (init failed) errors

- I have a Renesas USB 3 controller. Downloaded the drivers for it and tested again - no change

- Tried an alternate USB 3 port - no change

- In the Error log, I see RealsenseDCM as an entry (event ID 1000)

- Downloaded the drivers for the camera from the Creative website - no change

At this point, I think I've eliminated all software related issues. Could it really be the hardware?

I have exactly the same issues.Any updates on the problem?

I get the same errors and the only solution I found is to use a hub. However sensor turns on and off frequently if I use a hub.I tried reinstalling SDK dcm drivers etc but nothing worked.

This happened a few days ago, although everything was OK Before that.
