the problem with maps is always gat map shown and i have to rotate the screen to fix it, and the galley alwys show fallat error could not extrac hight even using the standar widget.

What version of the XDK are you using?

I tried using both a google map on a secondary page (sub-page and page), and the Image Gallery, and both worked fine.

If the image gallery is giving you trouble, then my first guess is that either the JSON file you've modified has been broken, or the paths in it are not resolving.

Hmm. Try making a new blank project with App Designer and insert the gallery into that. Is it working?
