Hello,

I'm trying to Install Intel Haxm for Android Studio but i'm getting an error saying that my Intel VT-x is not turned on. I have googled a bit and tried different solutions but it isn't working for me.

I am using Windows 10 that has a i7-3610QM CPU @ 2.30 GHz. I have the BIOS Version: American Megatrends Inc. E1756IMS. 105, and the BIOS mode of Legacy. I'm using a GE70 0NC system model for MSI.

What I have tried:

I tried turning off Avast to download Haxm but it still shows up the error.

I tried going to the UPDATE & SECURITY -> Recovery -> Advanced Startup -> Restart now to find UEFI firmware settings but I couldn't find it.

I also tried restarting my comp to try and find it on the BIOS menu but I also couldn't find any options to enable Intel VT-x.

I seen some posts on MSI forums about using flashing but I tried clicking some links for it and it shows that the posts is not available anymore. I never done flashing so it seems risky to me. Does anyone know a way to enable my Intel VT-x?

Thank You!

Same to me.

I have been searching for two days for an answer, but nothing.

All takes to the same place, "enable VT-x by the bios".

But there is not this option.
