I am new dev. so i wanted to know that which platform is the best for developing Android application ? . The app actually will serve as social media app ? Please reply.

Hi Haroon, are you talking about the platform that you are going to use for development?
If so, you can use any platform you like (Linux, Windows or Mac). Currently all the Android tools have a pretty good support on any of them.

Haroon you need to download and install the specific package for the platform that you are using. If you go to this page http://developer.android.com/sdk it will direct you to the right package for the machine you are currently using.
