Sensor Accuracy

Hi everyone,

for validation purposes we need a sensor which is able to measure the exact position of a human head (the distance between the head and the sensor will be around 0,8m (+/- 30cm). The measurement error should be below 1%. Could someone please tell me, if the Intel®RealSense™ Developer Kit featuring SR300 can meet these requirements?

And could someone give me the excact accuracy values of the sensor?

No such thing as an exact number as different heads will give you different numbers.

Easiest thing will be to buy one and try it yourself to see if it meets your requirements.

In terms of range, you are at the far side, almost at the maximum range, so the detection will not be the best.
