Build fails after adding splashscreen and launcher icon

I get the following error after adding assets to my project:

Error in zipping package asset files: File not found.

I have the files saved in the root of my project directory in the folder called package-assets. Yet I'm still getting this error.

Any ideas?

Are you able to build the "hello-cordova" sample project successfully. It also contains a set of icons and splash screens in the package-assets folder. Please test that and it will help to identify if there's something about your project and/or assets or the build system.
