      <title>Problem with activation when installing Intel Parallel Studio 2016 for Linux</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;I have downloaded Intel® Parallel Studio XE Cluster Edition for Linux* 2016 Update 3 with academic license. I am trying to install them in my Laptop running Linux Ubuntu 16.04.&amp;nbsp; I have registered my serial number on Intel Registration Center (&lt;A href="https://registrationcenter.intel.com"&gt;https://registrationcenter.intel.com) &lt;/A&gt;and noted that my serial number has valid support status and active. When i came into installation process, at activation step (using online activation) i entered my serial number and i got this message:&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;PRE class="brush:plain;"&gt;Intel(R) Software Installer
The serial number  you provided is not valid for this product.&lt;/PRE&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Any idea about what could be causing this? I would be very please if anyone could help me about this...&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Indra,&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Activation with serial number is supposed to work, if you have internet connection on the machine, and your serial number is for that product and has a current support. &amp;nbsp;I saw you have a couple licenses. &amp;nbsp;One thing you could try is to generate a license file manually. &amp;nbsp;See this:&amp;nbsp;https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/how-do-i-get-a-license-file-for-an-offline-installation-of-intel-parallel-studio-xe-2016&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If that doesn't work, please send me your serial number via private message.&lt;/P&gt;
