a quick question, how can i set huge pages on a KNL? is it a compiler option or an environmental variable. i don't seem to be able to find instructions on how to do it

The answers I gave there are about KNC, which is no longer supported. I don't think there has been any documentation of methods for explicit page size control on KNL, implying that the automatic means such as transparent huge pages are satisfactory.
