Can't be certain what you have in mind. Here's a reference on a relatively recent Core 2 Solo:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=37133"&gt;http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=37133&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Evidently, it's a single core CPU intended for a very low power "mobile" (battery power) device.&lt;BR /&gt;The original Core Duo (dual core) was meant for laptops (32-bit OS only) and was superseded a few years ago by the ubiquitous Core 2 Duo, which originally supported SSSE3 instruction set, as well as both 32- and 64-bit OS, in both laptop and desktop versions.
