In Windows 7, Access to Intel(r) Performance Counter Monitor has denied

Hi All,

Good Day!

I am in the process of implementing intelperformancecountermonitorv2.3a (Intel PCM) in one of our windows 7 machine which is configured as

Windows 7 Enterprise (SP 1)

Intel(R) Core(TM) Duo CPU E7500 @ 2.93GHz 2.93GHz

32bit operating system

As given in Windows_Howto document built pcm.exe utility (used Win Ring open source downloaded from Real Temp 370, copied all 4 dll and sys files as suggested)

When I tried to run the pcm.exe from cmd (with admin rights), I got the below given error

pcm.exe 1 -nc -ns

Intel(r) Performance Counter Monitor V2.3 (2012-09-20 10:00:15 +0200 ID=ccfb40f)

Copyright (c) 2009-2012 Intel Corporation

Starting MSR service failed with error 2
Trying to load winring0.dll/winring0.sys driver...
Using winring0.dll/winring0.sys driver.

Error: unsupported processor. Only Intel(R) processors are supported (Atom(R) an
d microarchitecture codename Nehalem, Westmere, Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge). CP
U model number: 23 Brand: "Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7500 @ 2.93GHz"
Access to Intel(r) Performance Counter Monitor has denied (no MSR or PCI CFG spa
ce access).

Please help how to rectify this

One more information

When loaded RealTempGT of RealTemp_370 it loaded successfully
