Hi,

I am trying to use uncore events for a ivy bridge xeon machine

cpu family : 6
model : 45
model name : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2665 0 @ 2.40GHz

and I get this error on trying to boot 3.10.10

APEI Generic Hardware error source: 32993

Can anyone suggest alternative Linux?

Hello Rakhi,

Does this error have anything to do with platform monitoring (other than your desire to do uncore events)?

Or are you just having trouble booting?

Googling "APEI Generic Hardware error source: 32993" looks like OS booting & hardware issues.

That stuff is beyond the scope of this forum.

Is this error related to NMI and can you post the kernel panic stack.
