Hi,

multiple threads in this forum ( https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/software-tuning-performance-optimization-platform-monitoring/topic/600913 ) reveals program IIO_LLC_WAYS of Hasswell CPU improves the IO transfer performance.

My actual testing of this proves.

Now I am testing a card with Skelake i9-7980XE CPU. I would like to check does this CPU have similar register to set the IIO_LLC_WAYS register? Is there any tool in Linux to do this?

It is very impracrtical to request motherboard vendor to modify this in the BIOS. it will be great if we can modify this in the Linux.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Thank you.

Mei Guodong

Singapore
