Hello Team

I installed ACUconfig and tried to disable User Consent through Configure via Windows but this option wasnt there to change.

I tried to unconfigure it but as per your answer in another topic this puts me straight to CCM.

As this machine is 3h drive now from our office it would be problemtic to visit the site.

Is there a way for me to Configure via Windows and select Admin Control Mode and disable user consent?

Thank you for using Intel® AMT products.

ACUconfig is an old tool; Intel stopped supporting it, as well as Intel® SCS (software). Please tell us how you configured the endpoint.

If you configured the endpoint with Intel® EMA; the Intel® Endpoint Management Assistant (Intel® EMA) API Sample Scripts will work for you.

Thank you for your reply.

Previously when the device was in house we configured it through through the Bios I believe.

Dont think it was configured correctly as the device was installed on no-man site.

When we tried to use MeshCommander to remote in it was asking for the User Consent.

After doing my research I find our that I need to reconfigure it to Admin Control mode.

When I re-configure it its only come back to Client Mode again.

Thank you for the clarification about the ACUconfig, I wasnt aware.

Ideally I would like to get this on Admin Control mode and disable User Consent as it not fit for our purpose.

Would you recommend to use Intel® Endpoint Management Assistant to reconfigure it?

Do we need to go on site to reconfigure it?

Hello, Damian,

Well, keep using Mesh Commander (third-party tool) or start using Intel® EMA depending on your endpoints’ specifications and company requirements.

Both tools support Client and Admin mode. You can configure the Admin mode by accessing MEBEX, in the User consent section select None and enable the IT option.

Intel® EMA requires the following:

Endpoints need to have Intel® AMT version 11.8.79 or higher.

It is necessary a host machine (virtual or physical) with Windows Server 2019 or 2022, SQL Server database.

Intel® EMA offers the remote provisioning of the endpoints (a Certificate purchase is necessary).

I cant find any information how to access MEBEX remotely.

Is this is something what we would need to be on site to do?

The MEBEX access requires to be on-site (physical access to the endpoint only).

Hello, Damian,

I am sending a zip file, that contains the pictures of an Intel® NUC. They explain how to get to the user-consent section and disable it.

The presentation changes a little bit with the PC brand and version.

We access MEBEX with the hotkeys: Ctrl+P

In the User Consent section, set None for User Consent Opt-in

and enable Opt-in Configurable from Remote IT.

Finally, press Esc until the system shows the option to save changes.
