Using Wireless Network to Wake a Laptop

Hello everyone,
I'm just starting to use Intel EMA. I have some questions about the possibility of using the tool to manage some laptops. The idea would be to be able to turn this device on and off remotely. My question would be using the wireless network to wake this laptop if it's turned off. Is this possible?

Wake-On-LAN is supported on Intel vPro platforms. To check if your system supports Intel vPro, we request you to share the ECT logs.

Intel® EMA Configuration Tool (ECT) Logs:

Download the tool from the following link: Intel® EMA Configuration Tool
Installation:

Download and unzip the tool.
Double-click the .msi file and follow the installation prompts.

Run the Tool:
a. Open a command prompt as an administrator (or use Windows PowerShell*).
b. Navigate to the installation folder (default: C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\EMAConfigTool).
c. Run the following command:
EMAConfigTool.exe --verbose

Hello Pujeeth,

My laptop is compatible with Intel vPro and supports full remote management when connected to Windows.

The settings are configured to share the Wi-Fi profile.

I created a test Wi-Fi network, but the Wake-on-WLAN feature is not triggering the wake-up as expected.

Please be advised that S5 depend on the hardware BIOS. (Not all devices support Wireless Wake-on-LAN. Devices that do support Wireless Wake-on-LAN only support wake from system sleep states S3 or S4.)

To wake wireless machines from the EMA console, there are some requirements that the endpoint needs to comply with.

-Provision the endpoint with the EMA agent files.
-Endpoints need to be in standby mode and plugged into the power.
-AMT Wi-Fi interface needs to be activated. (We can confirm that from MEBx BIOS or by running the EMA configuration tool.)
-Enable Wireless from S0 to S5 states. You can verify the option in MEBx.

Hi Pujeeth, my hardware is supposed to support Wake-on-LAN; it was purchased with that intention in mind. I confirmed with Lenovo support. I can wake it up using the RJ45 port, but I can't do so using Wi-Fi.

The information Intel provides is vague and incomplete. I couldn't find any documentation that shows which settings need to be active on the transmitting antennas for it to work.
