Unfortunately we do not have any reported plan to releases an IT Director that will fully work on server systems. I would recommend cheking our website from time to time to see if a new version is releases.

Does anyone know of an updated It Director client or other way of allowing the vpro aspects of the chipset to be accessed on a Windows 2008 Standard Server? I want ot be able to remotely monitor it during boot time and most of the java-based remote KVMs we have tried, seem to die and fail to output video after a period of time, leaving us helpless to support a remote office.

According to the following document, the Intel IT Director is exclusively for desktop operating systems:

http://cache-www.intel.com/cd/00/00/43/72/437205_437205.pdf

For information on remote KVM please check this link:

http://communities.intel.com/docs/DOC-4795

That is a great shame given that the same technology is most likely built into Server Chipsets and one of the key demands of IT Personnel is the need to remotely administer servers. Is there any plan to change this?

As I mentioned, remote KVM doesnt always work particularly effectively and reliably, which is a must if you happen to be in a different country.

Rob
