Yes, you're correct--not all of the 2nd generation processors will support Intel vPro Technology. Now that the 2nd Generation has launched, I've published the complete list of 2nd generation Intel Core vPro processors. The list of all Intel vPro Technology compatible Intel Core, 2nd Generation Intel Core, and Intel Xeon processors is posted on this site (the link is on the left nav bar of the home page). I posted the first list last year and it has been updated on a regular basis--this list should make it easy to find the latest Intel vPro Processors.

As of May 31st, for just the desktop, mobile, workstation, and server products, Intel has 22 Intel Core i5 vPro processors; 28 Intel Core i7 vpro processors; and 11 Intel Xeon processors with Intel vPro Technology. (We also have some special processors for embedded and other applications that are not listed but are available to OEMs.)

Maybe somebody from Intel can help us, I would like to know that as well.

Witch SandyBridge CPUs are compatible with vPro 6.0 ?

Are the new chipsets H67 (for SandyBridge) compatible with vPro 6.0 ?

Good morning! The new vPro platform (with Sandybridge) will launch about the week of Feb 21. We'll be posting processor lists and updated docs then - as well as videos and blog posts of new functionality. It's a busy time over here right now! :-)

Michele Gartner

Community Manager

Intel vPro Expert Center

The 2nd Generation Intel(R) Core(TM) vPro(TM) i5 and i7 processors will support Intel vPro Technology when used with the Q67, QM67, or QS67 chipsets.

No, not all of them will. Please read the processor specifications before posting your reply.

Only certain i5 and only a couple (or possibly still just one) i7 cpu will support VPro.

As usual, Intel's documentation of this feature is virtually non-existant.

For the last three years, Intel has made it nearly impossible to find the VPro processor list.

They're not well organized at the very least...

I am an It student with ITT tech researching the clock speed, internal cache, bus speed, and architecture of the vPro and the vPro mobile. Is there a way for me to get this information? I have attempted all I know and it has been difficult to find the info. I THANK YOU AHEAD OF TIME. BILL
