topic How to remotely access a VPro enabled workstation connecting thru a VPN? in Intel vPro® Platform

We want to manage a lot of workstations via the KVM remote control (or any other remote control Using Intel vPro Solution Manager). How can I accomplish this? Do I need to assign the static (or via the VPN DHCP server) IP of the Cisco VPN adapter. Do we need to enable the KVM redirection feature of "KVM-Remote" Control so it will listen to the VPN adapter? The remote session is over the internet so we want to make sure there is a security mechanism involved. I called Dell and gave me this forum.

Thanks,

Tik

For convenience, I'd open the ticket myself on your behalf, however, I do not have enough detail to do that. You can open a ticket here:

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/contact-support.html Contact Support

Choose

Intel® vPro™ Technology

Let us know how many workstations you plan to manage.

In the meantime, I'd also like to point you to some reference material so that you can be introduced to Intel® vPro™ Technology and the software that you will need to accomplish this.

This link takes you to the AMT implementation and reference guide:

https://software.intel.com/sites/manageability/AMT_Implementation_and_Reference_Guide/default.htm https://software.intel.com/sites/manageability/AMT_Implementation_and_Reference_Guide/default.htm

You can also download the Intel® Setup and Configuration Software (Intel® SCS) here:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26505/Intel-Setup-and-Configuration-Software-Intel-SCS- https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26505/Intel-Setup-and-Configuration-Software-Intel-SCS-

and download the SCSdownload_package_11.1.0.75.zip

The root of the zip file contains the user guide which should help to answer your questions in further detail.
