Configuration Question- Intel SCS Tool installed on a Server other than the Primary SCCM Server

Hi there,

I plan to install the Intel SCS tool and Services on a different server than our SCCM 2012 R2 Primary Site due to performance problems.

The instructions for the SCCM 2012 Addons shows in section 2.6.3.1 of PDF'S the installiation of the OOB Service Point role. Here is apparently assumed that the role is installed on the Primary Site and the certificate was issued for this site Site.

Can it cause problems if this role is installed on the server that is not the primary site in our case? Our Verisign certificate is issued only for the outsourced server and not for the Primary Site.
