Hello All,

I am having Issues with configuring Intel vPro on Dell laptop. I have configured the vPro through MEBx BIOS as we usually do for other laptops.

The laptop is connected to ethernet cable via USB-C adapter. When I look into Intel Management and security status, Its not even listing the Wired connection in the list.

Does any one have any experience with this?

Thanks in Advance!

EramosaSingh

Hello, the USB-C device will not have access to talk to AMT initially. These are called "LAN-Less" systems. There are ways to configure LAN-Less systems and are identified in both the user guide (Starts Section 1.4.6 Configuration of LAN-less Platforms) and also in the Deployment Guide:

https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/software/software-applications/intel_scs_deployment_guide_1_0_final.pdf https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/software/software-applications/intel_scs_deployment_guide_1_0_final.pdf

Search "LAN-less" as it pops up in multiple sections and each section gives specific detail.

If you still need assistance after reading through this, let me know and I will get your contact information.

Regards,

Michael
