Please note that there is a feature called Wi-Fi Protected Setup that you might need to uninstall from the Intel® Proset software in order for you to type the WPA password as it is.

I suggest you to follow the steps at the following link:

http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-031496.htm?wapkw=%28wifi+protected%29 http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-031496.htm?wapkw=%28wifi+protected%29
I hope this solve your problem.

I am trying to connect a dell D630 laptop to a D link 2680 using intel proset wireless3945ABG adapter, WPA encryption and have installed the latest driver. I can find the wireless network but when I try to enter the password it will only accept numbers not letters and my password has both. Bit of a beginer so any help would be appreciated
