Thank you for your helpful response. I completely disregarded the bluetooth cable when installing the wireless card, and it looks like I just need to find a replacement cable to fix my problem.

Thanks again!

I've been trying to get bluetooth working on my computer. My network card is an Intel Wireless AC 7260, which should have bluetooth capability. I've tried updating the general drivers and specifically downloading the bluetooth drivers for a few months now. Bluetooth simply isn't showing up as an option.

Relevant System Specs:

Motherboard: ASUS Z97-E LGA1150

Processor: Intel i5-4690

OS: Windows 10 Home

Network Adapter: Intel Dual-Band Wireless-AC 7260

Thanks for any help!

Hello Huon,

Thank you for your question.

We understand you are working with an http://ark.intel.com/products/75439/Intel-Dual-Band-Wireless-AC-7260?q=Intel%C2%AE%20Dual%20Band%20Wireless-AC%207260 Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260, and are having issues getting the Bluetooth* module to show up (in device manager?). And you have already attempted installing both the Wireless, and Bluetooth* drivers.

Now, there are a couple of things that could be happening here. First, it's important for us to highlight that wireless integrations are not supported due to both regulatory, and possible compatibility issues.

- http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking/000005687.html Regulatory Information Regarding Hardware Installation or Upgrade

- http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking/000005846.html Why Doesn't My Computer Recognize My New Intel® Wireless Adapter?

However, this only applies if you purchased this adapter somewhere and are attempting to install it in your board's M.2 port, in which case we would highly recommend contacting your motherboard manufacturer to find out if the adapter is supported.

If you have an http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/wireless-products/dual-band-wireless-ac-7260-bluetooth-desktop.html Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 + Bluetooth* for desktop, which comes already installed in a PCIe* x1 adapter, then the issue might be related to the Bluetooth* cable not being properly installed.

- http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking/000007077.html Integration Guide for the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 for Desktop.

For your particular motherboard, I've highlighted the available USB Header ports. If you believe that you have already connected the cable properly, you may want to try another USB header, or inverting the positive and negative connectors (flipping the connector).

Let us know if this helps,

Best regards,

Carlos A.
