Also, from Device Manager, I right click on the this driver (Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000) and try to reinstall driver there but it says "Windows determind for your driver software is up to date"! so i cant reinstall this driver!

However, in the Device Status box in Properties (right click), it still show "Reinstall driver for this device"!

Hi

I'm using a Lenovo Y560, Windows 7, i5 laptop. This morning I try to install a optional driver "Intel driver update for Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 1000" Download size: 91.8 MB but it failed!

I keep getting the same error code: 80070103! I already looked up in Microsoft forum on what this error code means.

My wifi connection is screwed! Basically can not connect through wifi!

Tried reinstalling it but still getting same error code. So I've downloaded from Intel website - Intel Driver update Utility 2.0 and used automatic driver scanning and update but it also fail to install a driver.

Anyone can help urgently on resolving this problem, please? Need to use wifi for work!!

I tried to uninstall this driver from Control Panel - Installed Updates but it is showing this failed update!

Hello Jay888,

As we understand, the issue started when Windows updates installed a new wireless driver in your system, then you tried to install the driver from Intel® Download Center, now the driver is not working.

Here are some options that may help you resolve this issue:

* It is recommended to disable Automatic Windows Updates, so you can check the updates before they are installed to your system and it does not try to install the same update again.

1- Use the System Restore option in Windows*. Check if you have a previously saved restore point you can use, this should undo all the recent wireless driver changes.

https://communities.intel.com/thread/75603 https://communities.intel.com/thread/75603

2- Go to Control Panel - Programs - View Installed updates. Identify the update with the problem and make note of the KBxxxxxxx number, then try uninstalling the update.

3- Try uninstalling and deleting all previosly installed versions of the driver before installing the current version from the PC manufacturer or Intel® Download Center. Detailed instructions can be found in the following thread:

https://communities.intel.com/thread/75488 https://communities.intel.com/thread/75488

I connected a USB network adapter in order to access the internet while my Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 1000 adapter was not functional. Then, I uninstalled the Intel adapter in control panel. The problem was fixed after letting the computer search for drivers on the Internet and install them.

I found that I had not allocated enough space for restore points and System Restore could not restore my system to a time before Windows Update destroyed my Intel network adapter drivers.

HP Windows 7, i5 laptop
